وی چهار بار تحت جراحی قرار گرفته و بار چهارم ۲۱ کیلو از ورم برداشته شده است. هم اکنون هوانگ- که ۳۰ سال از این عارضه رنج برده است- می تواند زندگی طبیعی خود را ادامه دهد.
